Christmas-New Year Party Makeup Look

Hello Angels,

Hope everyone is excited for the Holiday Season Ahead 🙂

Last Year during this time I spent a whole week with My Mom, Sista and my cherubic niece. But this year I don’t have any leaves as I switched the Job recently and I am not entitled to any Earned Leaves yet 🙁 But I will still try to spend few days at home cosying and snuggling with mommy dearest and stealing warm hugs from my niece.

Coming to this look, when I envisioned this look in my mind, my inspiration was glittery Christmas tree and divine Red color(obvious choice ..ehh). I specifically ordered these Glittery Ardell lashes from Nykaa keeping this look in mind. To add more elements, I ordered this warm and cosy Dorothy Perkins Red Jumper with sequins from Jabong. I already had Faces Sparkle Dust Stackable, lipsticks and other things I needed to create this look…so I was good to go.

Oh, did I mention about the golden danglers 😉 they are so sleek but still screams their presence… I hope that makes sense… lol.

Base Makeup:

I firstly applied Revlon Colorstay Makeup 24hr Foundation in shade Sand Beige and then Maybelline fit me foundation 310 Sun Beige. Revlon Sand Beige is perfect for oily skin but I could not find the exact match for my skin (this shade is one tone lighter for me), it provides good coverage and lasts very long. On the other side, Maybelline fit me 310 is exact match for my skin tone, so I use it on top. I use this combo when I want high coverage and full on glam look.

I used Maybelline Fit Me Concealer for under eye area, around my mouth and forehead and set it with Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder.

Contour/ Highlight/Blush:

For Contouring and Highlighting I used LA Girl Pro concealer in shade Beautiful Bronze  and used a silver eyeshadow by Lorac as highlighter.

Blush is Maybelline Cheeky Glow in shade Peachy Sweety.

I used a nude matte shade as base and then used a bronzy golden eyeshadow on lids, I used burgundy color as transition shade and blended it nicely. All three shades are from LA Girl Nudes Palette I am testing recently.

I mixed Inglot duraline and Faces Sparkle Dust Stackable in shade Golden and applied on the lids with the help of a flat brush. Then applied the Kiko Milano Definition Waterproof Eyeliner, my holy grail product.

I completed my eye makeup with these beautiful Glittery lashes from Ardell and some kajal on lower waterline.

Christmas party look

I wanted to give three options for the lipstick, Red was my personal favorite but there has to be something for the people who shy away from reds. So I tried a nude and a brownish shade with this makeup look. BTW, which one you like?

I used MAC Ruby Woo, Kiko Gossamer Emotion 105 Creamy Lipstick and my recent purchase Rimmel london lasting finish by Kate 112.

I hope you like the look 🙂 I love to find Little notes and comments from you all. Please drop them!! I really appreciate you taking the time out to share your views.

My Review

Today I am going to share my review on this beautiful Shimmery Pink color by Kiko Milano. I am not a fan of baby Pink color on me but when the SA asked me to choose a complimentary Nail Polish from their huge selection, I could not help but notice this beautiful baby pink with hint of sparkle. You know me…. Glitters make me weak at the knees.

The color is BEAUTIFUL and shimmer particles makes it OH SO UNIQUE. You just need to have 2 coats to get that perfect pink nails. Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer in 505 dries super-fast and gives Textured/Sandy finish to the nails.

I had it on my nails for 4-5 days and afterwards it started chipping from the ends. I didn’t use any base or top coat as I wanted to check the longevity of this nail lacquer on its own.

Apologies for being Missing in Action

Hello my Lovelies!!

Apologies for such a long silence on blog, I am consciously staying away from makeup after suddenly experiencing crazy bouts of acne around jaw line. The left side is better but the right side still has crazy acne. I started using my trusted old friend CLEAN AND CLEAR Face wash again but in this weather I am finding it too dry for my skin, currently I am switching between The Body Shop Tea Tree face wash and this one.

I am mainly sticking to home remedies as my skin is very sensitive. Sharing with you few remedies which has helped me to some extent. Please be aware you need patience to see the results, do not expect an overnight magic 🙂

Spot treatment with lemon: It really helps in minimizing the acne. You just have to take a lemon and squeeze it. Collect the juice in a small bowl and apply on acnes with the help of Finger or cotton bud. Keep it for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with water.

Spot treatment with toothpaste (yes..toothpaste): Use a white toothpaste (not the colored ones and gel based) and apply it directly on pimple using cotton bud or finger, leave it on for few hours or overnight. It helps in shrinking the acne.

Lemon and Honey Face Mask: I am using lemon+honey as face mask thrice a week. The natural antibacterial and probiotic properties of honey effectively reduce breakouts and prevent new acne. Lemons are rich in Alpha hydroxy acid, or AHA, and beta hydroxy acid or BHA which removes dead skin and keep the skin free of blackheads and acnes. I keep it on for 15-20 minutes and then wash with water.

Tomato Juice face pack: It lightens the acne scars, shrink the open pores of your face, counters discoloration of skin. I keep it on for 15-20 minutes and then wash with water.

For Moisturizing my skin, I am sticking to Kama Ayurveda Eladi Hydrating Ayurvedic Face Cream and Rejuvenating & Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream.

I have my cheat days when I am too tired or LAZY to take care of my skin. But mostly I am keeping up with this routine.

I am hoping to stick to this routine for few more days and if the issue still persists I am going to consult a dermatologist.

In case you have any suggestions or remedies…do let me know 🙂
