Apologies for being Missing in Action

Hello my Lovelies!!

Apologies for such a long silence on blog, I am consciously staying away from makeup after suddenly experiencing crazy bouts of acne around jaw line. The left side is better but the right side still has crazy acne. I started using my trusted old friend CLEAN AND CLEAR Face wash again but in this weather I am finding it too dry for my skin, currently I am switching between The Body Shop Tea Tree face wash and this one.


I am mainly sticking to home remedies as my skin is very sensitive. Sharing with you few remedies which has helped me to some extent. Please be aware you need patience to see the results, do not expect an overnight magic 🙂

Spot treatment with lemon: It really helps in minimizing the acne. You just have to take a lemon and squeeze it. Collect the juice in a small bowl and apply on acnes with the help of Finger or cotton bud. Keep it for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with water.


Spot treatment with toothpaste (yes..toothpaste): Use a white toothpaste (not the colored ones and gel based) and apply it directly on pimple using cotton bud or finger, leave it on for few hours or overnight. It helps in shrinking the acne.

Lemon and Honey Face Mask: I am using lemon+honey as face mask thrice a week. The natural antibacterial and probiotic properties of honey effectively reduce breakouts and prevent new acne. Lemons are rich in Alpha hydroxy acid, or AHA, and beta hydroxy acid or BHA which removes dead skin and keep the skin free of blackheads and acnes. I keep it on for 15-20 minutes and then wash with water.


Tomato Juice face pack: It lightens the acne scars, shrink the open pores of your face, counters discoloration of skin. I keep it on for 15-20 minutes and then wash with water.


For Moisturizing my skin, I am sticking to Kama Ayurveda Eladi Hydrating Ayurvedic Face Cream and Rejuvenating & Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream.

I have my cheat days when I am too tired or LAZY to take care of my skin. But mostly I am keeping up with this routine.

I am hoping to stick to this routine for few more days and if the issue still persists I am going to consult a dermatologist.
